late?- Danny Macaskill by Dave Sowerby

Danny absolutely kills it on a bicycle, and Sowerby did such a great job of capturing and putting it all together for a really exciting/visually stimulating edit. If you have reservations about trials riding, throw them out the window like Steven Hamilton in Can I Eat. -Hamilton reference, that’s right.

Sorry if this is late on the watch list, and if you have seen it, I’m sure you wont mind watching again!

You gotta check this one in at least 720HD!

Heath Kirchart Retrospective

Emerica has an article documenting Heath Kircharts pro skateboarding career, complete with photos and most of his video parts. On a related note, Heath and photographer Jeff Vallee just finished their bike ride across America. They really did it.

Adobe Premiere CS5 Demo

Here’s a little peek into the new version of Adobe Premiere.

POTD: Vince Smith in Louisville, Ky

Here’s my recent POTD on ESPN. Had fun shooting this one. I’ve also got stuff in the newest issues of RideBMX and DiG so go and buyem while they’re hot.

What are your daily photographic resources?

What inspires you? Is it an image you saw in a magazine that you want to recreate? Or an article you read about a new technology that can make one thing a little easier or brings a new style of editing to the click of a button? Maybe its that new lens that youre just itching to throw on your camera and just go wandering. Everybody has different things that inspire them to shoot or invokes an idea.

OSS ‘Football’ Play-by-Play

Things are a bit slow, so here is nothing new. Sequences that I shot during the filming of the OSS DVD ‘Football’. My camera shoots at just a little over 3 frames per second so pretty much none of these are very usable.

The Bank L.A.

Now I don’t know if I just didn’t get the memo or what, but I am just now learning about this website, The Bank L.A. The design is original but not over-the-top and the content is some of the best on the internet these days. Definitely give it a look.

Push It a Stop sighting

It’s always fun to see a sticker in a photo. It is hard to tell, but that is a Push It a Stop sticker on the upright. I hope the photographer used it to focus on. Photo of Brian Delatorre as seen on Daves Quality Meats.

Winter Sucks

I came across this edit titled “Make the Most of the Summer”. Besides it being a very clean video with exceptional riding, it is a good message as well. I myself was not making the most of summer and now I have been on crutches for over two months. I can feel myself gaining weight and I have never been more depressed. I guess we make mistakes to learn from them. Video from nostockbmx.com.
