Dimensions: 7″ x 6.5″ x 3″ (pack with medium battery)
5.5″ x 4.5″ (head w/ standard reflector)
Price: $1,800 (new) $700-$1200 (used)
Sync plug: Household
Power Source: Lumedyne Battery Packs (thumbs down in my experience).
Flash Duration: 1/3000 (@ 200w) 1/1500 (@ 100w) 1/1000 (@ 50w)
Pros: Power, short flash duration, relatively compact size, adjustable reflector head, durable
Cons: Expensive, Lumedyne batteries are the worst, vulnerable bulb prone to breakage
Overall: A workhorse through-and-through. Former industry standard (used by Z and Dolecki for years). Amazing lights when they are working… I’ve had to have my battery rebuilt a number of times, but their customer service is exceptional. Sometimes very troublesome- seems like there are plenty of lemons out there. I’ve heard horror stories from a few different people about these.
