Cult’s Dehart/Swain Storm Sweepstakes Winner

So a  few months back Cult held the Dehart/Swain Storm video edit competition. Out of 50 edits submitted, Chase D. chose Ryan Olsons’s for the grand prize. The grand prize consisted of a (At the time not available yet) Chase Dehart Butter frame, fork, pedals, tons of stickers… And the bragging rights haha.

Personally could not think of a more deserving dude than Olson, has to be about the most dedicated/innovative street rider in the area. I’m more than certain you will hear more from him in the future.

So Olson hit me up a few weeks ago so we could go get a couple shots of his “Buttery” new rig and this is what we got, follow the link and hope you enjoy! http://www.cultcrew.com/butter-winner-ryan-olson

Here is the edit that got him the CULT winnings.

In Focus: Stabilizing Footage with Jason Hernandez

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RI7jVOMx8A?w=620

This In Focus with videographer Jason Hernandez is so helpful, especially when using DSLR’s which are much more susceptible to camera shake. Some really great advice is given here, and this should be viewed by anyone (everyone) looking to make their footage a little less shaky. One thing I found rather counterintuitive is to turn image stabilization off when using a tripod. Who knew?

This is crazy.

Russell Houghten from The Cinematographer Project

he trippy mane.

this is also the last time I will ever tolerate watching any sort of time-lapse video (besides Koyaanisqatsi, of course.)

NY1 uses the China Light!

I highly recommend using this light, but how terribly unprofessional. Check it out here.

Canon Introduces the EOS-1D C

I posted a picture of this concept a while back, however at that point it was just a rumor.  Canon has finally announced the EOS 1D C, a DSLR that will shoot in 4K resolution (4096 x 2160), as well as many other formats.  This is huge.  All I can say is that I want it.

Read about it here right now.
